Business has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

I grew up in a family where business was a way of life. From accompanying my father to our retail business as a child to later becoming involved across the business, I saw firsthand how a business operates end to end—from procurement and manufacturing to distribution, deliveries, and retail. At the time, it was simply everyday life. Looking back, I realize that it taught me that enduring businesses are built on thousands of good decisions, consistently executed, day after day.

My father taught me that no one has a monopoly on running a good business, making good products, or earning a customer’s trust, and that knowledge becomes more valuable when it is shared. Choosing a professional career outside our family business broadened that perspective by exposing me to businesses across many industries around the world.

Taken together, all of those experiences continue to shape how I approach investing and the conversations around it. They also reinforced that belief—that everyone, no matter where they begin, should have the opportunity to understand investing.
